DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, "How do I know if I married the right person?" I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "It depends. Is that your husband?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind.

Here's the answer. EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies.

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love...

Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that __expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling is love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage! , you wi ll notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work,a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression "the labor of love."

Because it takes time, effort, and energy . And most importantly, it takes WISDOM . You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable...you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling .

No one falls in love by choice, it is by CHANCE.
No one stays in love by chance, it is by WORK.
And no one falls out of love by chance, it is by choice

I'm jus overjoyed by the words of my wedding couple on Sunday..!!
Mr & Mrs Goh, Mr & Mrs Chua and Mr & Mrs Tan..thank you very much for the patience that you have with me for all these while of coordination for your wedding.

Being a newbie in selling and coordinating weddings.. I realli did my very best to learn and pick up as fast as possible.. upon hearing my couple thanking me for the help all these while and telling me that i've done a gd job.. im jus so touched and felt a sense of satisfaction in it.. not onli thanking me but also showed their appreciation by givin me a ang bao.. it's not the amt that matters but is the thought that counts. once again, thank you very much! these gave me a motivation to work and also looking forward to see more of that... =)

That also mus depends on other colleagues in the catering dept to work together and make not onli weddings but all event successful... =) thanks to all that have helped in all those events..

also mus thank JW and RP for the patience they have for me.. as I was new and know nothing abt the procedure.. they have to teach me frm the start and be patient with me.. I hope i can do better... and realli can be a help to them..

but who noes.. maybe after the busy months.. boss will take me out frm weddings again...?? well, shall see how it goes...

starting my course soon.. hopefully i can pass all the modules smoothly..

Its been so long since i last blogged..

Well, recently has been real busy with work.. weddings, paperwork, meetings.. etc.. making me so tired and restless.. the worst is not all these that realli makes me so sick and tired of the job, it's the environment and the people around me, making things so difficult work with..I realli do not understand how these ppl work their life thru in this kind of environment.

i can no longer differeniate who is real or who is fake.. and i realli do not wish to know anymore. I jus wan to do what im supposed to do and finish my studies asap.. my class is starting in 2 weeks time and im so lost.. suddenly, i jus feel lost with what im doing or rather, i do not know what i've chosen is right..

very soon, i will have no time for shopping, drinking, partying and even meeting dear dear.. and i guess he does not have time for me too as he is striving and working very hard for his last yr in NTU.. all the best for you my love~ morale support ok? .. =)

Happy New Year everyone!

Very first post of the year...
I'm back at work! back to reality again..~ =D
I'm goin to start my diet plans again as I've over ate during the the trip..
haha! so i'm goin to slim slim slim before i can go for my CNY shopping.. =)

No resolutions for the new year..
but i do hope everyone is healthy and wealthy!
hopefully i'll be able to move on further in terms of career and salary! =D
this year might be a hard year as the economy is not on the bright side,
but do work hand in hand to make our economy to be on a healthier side!

hmm.. basically I'm just very busy with work..
and had been sick for the past one week..

Deardear is having his exams this month..

So suay, fri gt a minor car accident and had injured my lower back..

at a church in YCK..
went with his bro n dad..

Today marks the last day of 2007. Haven been blogging so decided to blog today. Time pass real fast. It has been a challenging year for me. Working in Hilton as full time has been realli a challenge for me.. also marks my first year there.. and that's realli fast.. lots of unhappiness at work... but also fun.. nt only they are my colleagues but close frens too.. jus wan to thank everyone of them for better or worse we have been thru.. =)

haven been meetin up my dear mel. she's busy too.. so better meet up soon ya! Want to thank you for being there for me when im sad or happy..

Some sad parting this year.. My dear fren, xiawei left us this year in sept.. we will alwaes rmb you.. =(

I dunno how ppl think abt me but as long as i noe wad im doing... clear conscience.. than i have nt let myself down.. Gone thru lots of ups & downs this year.. people come and go.. after all these.. i've found deardear, the meaning of my life... it was realli not easy at first when this r/s started.. i noe some ppl will be unhappy, disappointed, sad, angry etc.. but i hope that they will understand where we are standing.. thou ppl might tell me.. nt to bother abt wad other ppl says.. but sub conciously you will.. somehow.. of cux you would wan ppl to gif you their blessings.. isnt that so? and of cuz we love each other lots and that keep us goin till nw..

there's one nite we went fishing with DT..
caught 2 fishes! one of it was caught by me alrite! lol..
the first one was DT who caught it.. mine is bigger..

than deardear cooked the fish and 3 of us enjoyed the fish..

i dun like the emptiness & loneliness feeling in my heart right nw..
cux hubby is nt here with me during the weekends..
exams are coming.. so he will have to burn midnite oils...
which he is already doin so months ago.. crazy..
didnt take gd care n nw he's down with flu n sore throat..
naughty.. worse.. still can eat mac & cookies.. faint!~

rotting at home for the whole day..
lazy to go anywhere also..

its 12.33am and he's still in school..
waiting for him..
gonna meet him tomolo for lunch..
longing to see him..

last nite went to WC's wedding at Traders Hotel..
was so happy that we were seated with M instead of KOP..
haha.. see his angry n surprised face makes our appetite grows big..!
6 of us finish all the food for almost every course.. haha..
and we kept drinking red wine.. lol.. laughters loud n clear throughout the nite..
so happy..
than back to office to work..

Had a great weekend with deardear..

went drinking with the usual ones..
than went van hse for mahjong session..
think all of us were so stone lo.. lol!
end up all bo lai.. keke..
van's dog is realli adorable man.. (Queenie)
is miniature maltese.. when she gif birth i wan 1 ok.. =)

Sat
woke up very late cux slept at only 5am in the morning..
than start to make chocolate with biscuit for deardear.. =)
than wait for deardear to finish his studies is already 12 am plus le..
than deardear came to fetch me.. went to supper..n than clementi..
gave deardear a surprise.. gave him the chocolate i've made..
he so happy.. haha! than keep saying he gt nothin for me..
i kept sayin its ok..
but when i walk into his rm.. he made the bed n place my pressie on bed..
so touched... hee.. its a precious moment cup.. so nice..
saying that i dun drink water.. wan me to drink using the cup.. lol!
there's also a handmade card lei.. so cute.. lol..

went to seng siong to buy ingredients for dinner..
decided to cook.. prawns, sze chuan vege soup, pomfret & vege...
went hm and started to cook the soup first..
realli veri long nv cook liao le..

than deardear came over for dinner..
n guess wad.. the rice is jus enough for 3 persons..
haha! when my bro wans to go for 2nd round, no more rice! =P
overall was nt bad ok.. keke.. jus that the soup is abit salty..

Having heard the news that xia wei had passed away realli make my heart sunk..
got to know on sat, told by weimin.. asked him nt to joke wif me.. but he sounded so serious..
than i know that it's true... till nw.. still cannot accept the fact that he is nt wif us anymore..

askin me for nm's no. and at times he will call me to chat while workin or waiting for gf..
there are so many things which i regretted for nt doin it.. but its pointless to regret nw..

than we headed to kim seng for our competition..
full time vs part time..
had lots of fun...
almost won 2 meals of mac.. but... ended no more.. kns~
but still won one drink!~ haha..
played till abt 1am.. than headed to breathless..
drink, sing.. cux jack bdae ma... guess he realli drank alot..
but still wan to force himself to go 97.. bth.. =P
end up he vomit... cant even walk properly.. ha! gt his video n pics lei.. lol!
didnt took much pic.. cux me swollen... haiz...
so we went hm after sending jack n ebon to cab..
n blogging here nw at 4 plus.. woke up at ard 3.. haha!~

Wisdom Tooth

suffering in hell nw.. here i am bloggin cux i cant sleep due to the pain!
had operation yest.. took out that subborn wisdom tooth which was deep buried on the right..
can u believe that the dentist (guy) uses his whole strength to take tat stubborn tooth out?! (Despite all drilling etc..)
my jaw is gona drop at the moment.. n a newbie assistant assisting the dentist?!
i was crying out for help in my heart!~ wth~
it took us one hr to complete everything.. with 4 stitches..
cant eat, cant sleep, cant smille n cant realli talk..
worse is that i almost could nt recognise myself! SWOLLEN!
cried last nite.. after the antiseptic med was gone.. pain like... no words could describe..
all i noe was pain n blood.. .. lots of med to be taken.. n i hate med! especially tablets..

i guess im gona think twice to remove the other wisdom tooth..
its getting my life man..
hope i can recover soon to go out on sat~
luckily gt baby n baby's mum to tk care of me.. cook porridge, ginseng etc..
gonna eat ice cream later..
waiting for the show on channel 8 at 1530hr..

Yest went bowling after work..
waited for you.. but no sign.. so left..
i still wan the ride!~
so bear send us there.. kimseng.. but who noes.. there's league goin on..
so we move to mount faber safra... same situation..
ended up at marina south.. so we start around 8 +..
(hasan, max, vane n me) (jack, ebon, baby bear n bear)
the ball there realli cannot make it.. all the holes so small! =D
end up we won all games! Cheers to my team mates.. =P
oh ya.. i also lose n won a can of drink... i wan my drink!~ haha...
than baby came... team wif jack n alan team wif us..
alan said it was his first time.. but he gt a score of 99! Spin ball somemore...

Didnt blog for a few days.. lazy..
went bowling on monday with ebon, jack, tiff, derrick n baby..
played 6 games .. glad that we manage to draw the game!

Yest was not that lucky liao..

played 4 games.. lose all! faint.. so as usual.. punch all!!
Well, its ok.. at least we enjoyed the game..
think yest my best is onli 103.. bad.. no mood la.. =P

had a bad day yest.. nt onli quarrel with baby.. but sad things in the nite..
didnt wan to cry one.. but jus cant control..

fri i was on leave.. so i rested at home for the whole dae.. so shiok man!

sat baby n me went to the zoo.. lol!
was longing to go.. so decided to go yest.

Good Morning!
i'm in the office nw.. reached here abt 0700hr...
and i'm damn sleepy nw.. yawnz.. =O
yest went bowling with jack, ebon n baby bear..
was challenging which team's (jack & ebon, baby bear & me) gonna punch the game..
end up is a draw game.. we play 5 games while waiting for big bear and baby..
baby bear & my score are the same.. think gt form... tts y we both gt 133.. Haha~
can go buy 4D liao.. =P
Than big bear n baby came.. so baby join my team n bear join jack..
we played 3 games, end up we lose 2 out of 3..
guess 3 of us no form liao.. =X
ebon was so amazing.. came out 1st out of all.. lol~ power..
than went back to Hilton to sleep..
and nw here i am blogging.. eyes closing soon..

Well finally, i had fun & laughter last nite.. smiles =)

Went to the dental yest..
Took a X-ray, n some checking..
End up i did one filling and i need to go for a operation..
for the wisdom tooth.. but i have 2! so need to go thru 2 times of pain!
goin op one the 08 august. 5 daes MC.. argh.. no gd.. work's gonna pile up..
but i left with no choice i guess.. cux its realli hurting me.. OUCH!~

Had a talk with him..
wanted to end all this..
but.. we decided to gif ourselves one more chance..
so.. we will cherish n at the same time.. change for the better.
Hope everything will go smoothly from nw..

Well, still having nightmares..
